To provide Quality Assurance & Assessment (QAA) input, interface and to help coordinate the resolution of quality issues for the ITER Project.

Main duties / Responsibilities
-Provides central Quality Assurance coordination and management of quality related issues;
-Participates in the development of quality procedures;
-Monitors procurement documentation for the correct application of specified requirements;
-Advises on quality related issues including materials, design, manufacturing, construction, special processes;
-Reviews quality plans, non-conformance reports, final quality documentation and other quality related documentation;
-Assists in the implementation of quality training programs for IO and external personnel;
-Participates in field quality visits;
-Participates in internal and external  quality audits;
-Performs quality-related activities as directed by the Head of the QAA Division;
-Implements the technical control of the Protection Important Activities, as well as their propagation to the entire supply chain;
-May be required to work outside ITER Organization reference working hours, including nights, weekends and public holidays;
-Performs other duties in support of the project schedule;
-May be requested to participate in any of the project/construction teams and to perform other duties;
-Maintains a strong commitment to the implementation and perpetuation of the ITER Safety Program, values and ethics.-Under the supervision of the team leader, reports to Head of the ITER Quality Assurance & Assessment Division;
-Interacts with members of the ITER Team and Domestic Agency (DA) personnel as required;
-In response to requests from the Director-General and/or proactively, informs the DG of any important and urgent issues that cannot be handled by the concerned line management and may jeopardize the achievement of the Project’s objectives.
Measures of effectiveness
-Monitors efficiently, proactively and in a timely manner all QAA of the ITER Organization’s compliance with the Quality Assurance Program (QAP) for the defined scope;
-Supports effectively the development and maintenance of MQP documentation;
-Ensures that the Domestic Agencies, Suppliers and Contractors are well informed, guided and their activities are compliant with the ITER QAP in due time.Project Construction Phase

Technical experience/knowledge
-Comprehensive knowledge of quality standards is essential;
-Extensive experience in similar jobs (involving similar work responsibilities) and/or additional training certificates in relevant domains may be considered a reasonable substitute for the required educational degree.-At least 5 years of proven experience of working in Quality Assurance;
-Experience in writing quality procedures;
-Coordination skills are essential;
-Experience in the application of Quality Control is desirable;
-Experience in manufacturing and assembly phase of mechanical components in a large construction project is desirable;
-Knowledge of special processes for joining and welding inspection is desirable;
-Experience in the implementation of quality systems in the highly regulated industry is desirable;
-Audit experience is desirable.
